Neutraliser For TIG CHAMP BRUSH DC Plus and mepBLITz


Weld cleaning solutions should not stain the stainless steel work piece. However staining may occur if hot solution is left to dry on the surface of the work piece and this may result in streaking.

If the solution is left for extended periods on the work piece e.g. days, this may result in light discolouration. Furthermore residue solution removes free iron on the work piece effectively passivating. This may appear as a streak or spotting. Avoid this by absorbing solution in a wet cloth or remove by wiping the surface with solution so uniform passivation occurs .The working area can be watered down to soak up and/or contain residue weld cleaning solution or spillage as it will dilute readily in water. Do not dry solution in sunlight.

The acid neutraliser can be helpful if solution gets into blind corners and crevices. It can also aid waste management. To be sure that no weld cleaning solution residue will stain a work piece use an acid neutraliser
Have a container of water and or a wet cloth nearby as once the work piece is at the desired finish, wash or wipe down with water. Ensure no residue solution is left on work piece. Renew rinsing /clean down water regularly as it can be polluted by solution residue. Dry off solution with absorbent cloth or paper. Do not dry solution in sunlight.

How to use

  • Wash down weld cleaned/polished work piece with water
  • Apply BLITZ CLEAN UP, Neutraliser until residue turns blue. Reached PH 4.6
  • Wash off BLITZ CLEAN UP Neutraliser with water pressure
  • Dry with cloth or paper towel
  • Also use to clean brushes after use
  • Aids trade waste compliance and safe handling


It contains an in-built pH indicator to provide a visual colour change when neutralisation of residue solution on work piece or spent acidic waste has been completed.

Adjusts the pH of the weld cleaning solution used with TIG CHAMP BRUSH DC Plus and mepBLITz waste to PH 5.4 which can be discharged into the drains in accordance with local requirements. The metals dissolved from the stainless steel will remain in the wash water.
